EXPERIENCE

Denford is a Senior Associate and head of the Real Estate and Commercial Law. He has advised
several corporate clients particularly in the Real estate value chain and has deal structured a
number of high valued transactions. His experience includes a vast range of property-related
transactions, such as property transfers (both commercial and residential), restructuring of
property portfolios, commercial property finance, subdivisions and consolidations, drafting and
reviewing of commercial and residential leases as well as engagement with various local
authorities. Denford’s experience extends to conducting due diligence investigations and
drafting and advising on property-related agreements including notarial deeds. Furthermore,
Denford has advised on infrastructure-related transactions within various sectors (acting both for
financiers and project promoters ) and has been involved in several acquisitions. This experience
includes offering advice on the viability of agreements, providing solutions to any concerns which
may arise and drafting of notarial deeds.

LL.B (Hons) University of Zimbabwe.
Admitted as an attorney of the High Court of Zimbabwe.
Bachelor of Science (Hons) Economics (University of Zimbabwe).
Masters in Business Administration majoring in Finance (University of Zimbabwe).
Certificates in Property Development, Construction and Compliance (University of Cape Town)
Certificate in Private Power Investment Finance and Contracts. (University of Cape Town)
Certificate in The Law and Economics of Mergers and Acquisitions
